Tike Tech City X3/X4? Anyone have one of these strollers?
I would love to know your experience with these strollers, They look amazing, I do some jogging but my son has to stay home with dad and it seems easy enough to take with you shopping from the reviews. I have a HUGE Jeep stroller which is nice but its BIG! I like that the Tike Tech has very easily snap off rear wheels which means it takes less room in our trunk, which I need! My jeep looks like a jogging stroller but it isn't & it weighs 26lbs+ & is just a BIG LUG of a stroller lol But my son was comfy in it & has space to grow. I am just wondering about the tike tech strollers for my son. He is 2 and weighs 40lbs & is 39inches. My son's torso is about 18-19inches, the tike tech strollers only have a 21.5 height in their seat backs, so hmm Do you think this isn't worth buying. It looks like an amazing stroller. I've read so many reviews and watched some on youtube.
Thanks.
I personally don't have any experience with the Tike Tech strollers, but I've seen all your questions about strollers but haven't been able to answer any due to my daughter crashing my computer (on hubby's work laptop now - lol). Anyway, I have used a bunch of them, primarily the Graco Quattro Tour, the Peg Perego Pliko P3, and then a few doubles that I own (Graco and the Joovy Ultralight). I have friends with the Mclaren, who absolutely love it, despite the recall. And, I do believe they have a kit to fix the problem.
In my personal experience, the Peg Perego Pliko P3 is the absolue best single stroller I have ever used. It is sooooo light, folds like an umbrella stroller but has the padding and comfort of a full sized stoller. More than Maclarens. It also has a foot bed area where an older child can stand on the back and I believe it has a 45 lb weight limit. If you have a Graco snug ride, or a peg perego car seat, they work fine in it too. Not sure of other models.
The downside, they are pricey, especially since you probably won't be needing it long with your son. Also, the cup holder stinks and the basket is small. But, they hold up amazingly well, I beat the heck out of mine and it'll get use again once my Joovy isn't needed anymore. So, if you have future children, you'll be able to use it again.
You also can get great deals on them, especially around the time when they come out with new models. I got mine half price because, woefully, the fabric was last year's color. Yippidy do dah. I don't believe they sell them at Babies R Us, but boutiqe places have them, maybe Buy Buy Baby too, so you could go try one out and then buy online. Albee Baby typically is a good place to look as they have great deals a lot. Posted a link of an old model on sale.
Anyway, just wanted to throw it out there for your stroller research.
