Art and craft show experience? Which to sell?
I am considering selling at these shows, does anyone with experience have an advice?
My best friend is an art broker for local New Orleans artists.
My parents are jewelry designers.
Another good friend makes pop art sculpture.
And I myself am repurpose (taking old or plain objects and making something new and useful out of them) designer.
What do you think would be the best thing to sell?
Do you think this is a worth while endeavor?
I have ten years of marketing experience and most of that was producing traveling events on the road.
So I feel like this might be the perfect way for me to start working for myself while using my experience.
Any feedback is appreciated.
You might want to start small at local heritage festivals and craft fairs. That way you dont invest a ton of $$ as those shows can be VERY expensive.
Build up a customer base and THEN look at going after the big bucks...
