Im Looking For A Compact Stroller.. What Kind Do You Have?
March 52010
I have been looking at the Combi and Peg Perego strollers, but their arnt many reviews online and i cant find a store near me to go try em out.. Or can someone tell me what stores they sell these 2 brands at? Im looking for something small to manuever while shopping but not as small as a cheap umbrella stroller? Can anybody help me? Whar do you have or what do you reccomend?
We have used two different strollers over the years. For toddlers we love the Peg Perego Aria because it is lightweight, folds up well, has a kid friendly tray for snacks/drinks, and is rated to 45 lbs (I think). The latch for the tray on our original one broke after about 2 years, but we were traveling a lot at that time, and I guess we took one airplane trip too many. The cup in the tray can sometimes pop out, so if you travel you need to keep an eye on that. If you take it out, though, you risk the tray getting cracked. Fortunately you can buy replacement trays from Peg Perego. When we had our second child we looked around at strollers again, and still liked the Peg Perego best. For older children (3 and up) we prefer the MacLaren. They are very pricey, but extremely lightweight (under 10 lbs), also folds up well, and is rated to 55 lbs. We've had ours for 2 years now, have taken it to Europe, NY, and Maui, and it has survived traveling very well. It is more of an umbrella stroller, but very roomy (important for us, as our daughter is consistently 97th percentile height). It doesn't have a snack tray. My only other complaint with the MacLaren is that the storage underneath is a bit awkward to access (narrow opening).
We bought both strollers at Babies R Us.

I have the Combi Cosmo EX stroller and it works great. It has a small basket and pocket so you don’t have much storage room but is a good lightweight stroller overall. I got it at Babies-R-Us and they have both brands with reviews on their website: http://www.babiesrus.com.

We have the Combi Ex and love it!!! (so much so that when someone broke into my car and took it we bought another)
The 2 complaints I have with it are 1. the handle could be a bit taller, I’m only 5’3 but my husband finds the handles too shot he’s 6’0
The storage on the bottom is too small and drags on the ground when packed.

I would go to Babies R US. The one by my house has all kinds of Combi and Peg Perego strollers. When I was looking at strollers I remember really liking the Peg Perego Aria stroller, but couldn’t spend $200 on the stroller and then another $200 on th infant seat. I would go and try ‘em out!

I have the Maclaren Quest stroller and just love it! It is an umbrella type stroller but VERY sturdy. It has a weight limit of 55 pounds! I use this all the time. It is lightweight and very easy to use.
Babies R Us carries Maclaren, Peg Perego and Combi strollers in their stores.

I got mine at Wal-Mart and I kno that sounds cheap lol but its soooo nice and it matches her carseat and crib. Its a Graco and it fits in the back seat of my car (and I have a compact car) along with my baby in the back. I can unfold it and refold it with just one hand and its really reliable Ive used it alot and it still works and it fits down most tiny walk ways thru stores. Its a good deal too,not to cheap and not to expensive. And it has GREAT storage space
