Stroller Question…20 Character.?
May 292010
I have decided againist the travel system. Too many health reports regarding the baby's posture as well as other parents saying they weren't as convinent as expected(please no comments, thsi is what I have decided for my baby.)Anyway, I am trying to get all the reviews I can for strollers.I want a lightweight, easy to fold one that is easy to maneuver. How early can you place the baby in the stroller? I don't want to attach a car seat but simply put the baby in there, so what age & what precautions do I need to take?
dont get an overly expensive stroller. its a waste of money that you could spend on other things the baby will enjoy more. there are plenty of strollers out there that you can place a baby in, and as long as there is some sort of neck support or you can put the back completely flat then the stroller will be safe even when the baby isnt old enough to hold his or her head up. maybe you could try babywearing? since you emphasized you wanted something lightweight and everything that is easy. a simple pouch or wrap style carrier is very light weight, not bulky at all, and keeps the baby safely right up against you =].
good luck!
EDIT: hannas mommie, that was a great idea. i agree, go to babiesrus if you have one and try them out. you can even put your baby in it and push him or her around to see how he/she likes it! =]

I dont really believe that mumbo jumbo stuff about travel systems being bad. But honestly I hated the one i had. I sold it and bought a Peg Perego Pliko P3 LOVED IT, I still own it just in case i go on long trips I have never used the carseat outside of the CAR in my opinion its a carseat not something you carry your baby around in everywhere. just my opinion. now that my daughter is bigger (15 months) I like the Maclarens. do you have a babysrus near you? Go their and try them out, you can push them around and see which one you like best. these are really lightweight.
I wore my baby in a sling for the first 3 months, then I introduced her to the stroller and i just put blankets on the sides so she didnt shift around.
these are the ones I have:

a visit to mother-care did it for me ,, i found a stroller that was from new born but beware most don’t do it only because when bags are put on handles the whole thing tips up so most wont advise for you to have one from new born. best of luck anyway
