Once upon a time, a baby's first portraits were candids of Mommy at your home in a tent gown, hoping to hide her shape or avoid being photographed altogether. Pictures for very small amount of one's first exposure to the world beyond Mommy were shot by a hospital camera operator hovering over a sterile nursery cot. Pregnancies images have not forever been seen in such a lovely light. Having a baby, in the past, was some thing to be hidden or a diminished. Even in more current history, father and mother had to be content with the blurry fetal portraits printed from a sonogram machine to remember the initial nine months' growth of their own child. "Having a baby" or newborn portraits have come a long way in current years.
