Should I Just Buy The Stroller?

August 232010

Okay, so pretty much, when I went to go buy all the furniture for the baby (i'm currently 39 weeks pregnant), I saw a stroller that I wanted, and my boyfriend did not want to buy it because he said he did not want to push around a pink stroller. Anyways, we ended up getting a cheap $100 cosco stroller that I absolutely hate. I keep on looking back on that stroller that I wanted, and it seems like I want it more and more everyday. I keep on looking back at it on the babies r us website. It's the elyse travel system by graco. I'm starting to think that I should just buy it because I think it would bring me great happiness, and we will just have 2 strollers. We also just got a coupon for $100 off that exact stroller, plus I checked the web site and this stroller has gotten TONS of good reviews, and it was even rated in a magazine that I was reading as one of the top 12 strollers. I currently have about $2000 in my bank account, I do not work, my parent's send me $500 a month on top of what my boyfriend makes. My mom said that once I run out of money in the bank she will send me another $2500, but I really really want this money to last me another 4 months. Although, I think that this purchase will bring me a great satisfaction because of how desperate I am for this stupid stroller. Can I please have some advice on what would be best to do from someone who is more experienced? This is my first child.

From a practical point of view, that pretty pink stroller will get dirty quickly if you're going to be taking the baby on a lot of outings. I have three kids, the oldest is 18 (wow!). My collapsible navy blue Chicco stroller held up from kid#1 to kid#3. The navy doesn't show the dirt as much. I'm sure your baby will spill formula, or food or have a diaper leak eventually in that pink stroller. I'm fairly certain that it'll be hard to keep clean.

In Need Of A Duo Stroller And Can’t Decide Which To Get!!!?

June 172010

My 2nd daughter is expected soon and I have been hashing for months over dawgawn strollers!!! I have found several that I like and then read reviews and freak! Duo strollers are so hard to find on display so you can test them and what not. I have been to sears and jcpenny and their Duos are cheap crap but you have to pay out the nose! I went to Baby Depot in Burlington and found 2 I really really like and that my 2 year old fits in! I just have no Idea which is best to go with...1 is the Jeep Wagoneer Stroller (husband had this for his son 5 years ago and said it was great) then I found the DuoGlider LX Stroller-Samuel (Graco) which is not only stylish but I can fit my car seat I already have in front and back! The Graco seems to fold more compact than the Jeep which is always good because I am not luging a bulky object around! Both strollers are surprisingly light in weight...Graco is 31 lbs and Jeep is 35 lbs. Does anyone have either of these and could maybe put some input in please!

Have you checked out the Contours Options Tandem stroller from Kolcraft?

Trying To Decide On A God Baby Doll Stroller For My Daughter..any Input?

April 82010

She is 20 months and about average height (32"). I only want a single stroller not a double. And I also want one sturdy enough to go outside. I am planning on spending about $30-45 on it. I don't want a cheap cheap one because I feel like they are a waste as they deteriorate quickly in quality. And I don't want to spend too much because she is getting a nicer one from Pottery Barn Kids for her birthday. The one for her B-day is a pink polka-dot pram style. But at the moment she is still a bit too small to use the pram shaped ones well. It's too hard for her to reach into it. So I want a forward facing style. Right now I am between these 3 really:
The MacClaren Junior XT ($30), it got decent reviews on toys r us and I know that our local toys r us has it in stock.
The Graco Expidition doll jogger ($23); This one is newer I believe so there was only 1 review for it; but it was a good one.
The MacClaren MX3 jogger ($33); again got good reviews and I think this is super cute.
Finally the Fisher-Price rainforest 2-in-1 stroller ($29.), the reviews were mixed but I just think it looks SO cute with al the rainforest theme baby stuff out there and everything!
